Melissa's Boston Terrier keeps her walking, and her mystery novel series keeps her writing. A member of Sisters in Crime, she helped establish the recent Tornado Alley Chapter and is a member of Creative Quills, Norman Galaxy of Writers, Norman Novel Writers, and OWFI. 

Melissa writes under the pen name of Melonie B. Hylan, spinning amateur sleuth novels from her home in Norman, Oklahoma. Although she has lived in Colorado, California, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, and Michigan, after retirement, she returned to Oklahoma where she grew up. Her debut novel - Ashes, Ashes... - is set in Norman, Oklahoma.
