Lisbeth McCarty is an attorney and an award-winning author, who lives in Norman. She has a degree in professional writing from OU, and she served as an appellate court attorney whose job was to write appeals for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System.

She has won awards for her legal analysis, her stories, and her non-fiction. One of her nonfiction books is I Cook Therefore They Ran, which gives you a taste of her sense of humor. She also publishes a website called Writers Write, which addresses writers’ issues, such as facing rejection.
